Industry Based Learning (IBL) Program

Our IBL Program is designed to expose students to real jobs, real experiences and real learning which will allow you to gain valuable workplace experience relevant to your chosen field of study. This one year opportunity to learn and work alongside our experienced team of professionals will aim to equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to accelerate your learning and gain valuable exposure to our brand, values and purpose, ensuring you are contributing to ‘All Who Keep The World Moving’.

Based at our corporate Head Office in Mulgrave, and with an open mind towards today’s remote working needs, we aim to provide you with the opportunity to begin your career with a prestigious global brand while being able to learn from and contribute to your team. We strive to offer fantastic on the job work experience combined with professional development opportunities to enable you to kick-start your future. The program commences mid-January each year. You will need to commit to full-time office hours for a 12 month period.

Each year we have positions that could be from the following areas of our business:

  • Sales and Marketing
  • Technical
  • Aftersales Service Operations
  • Training Academy
  • Parts
  • Human Resources
  • Network Development
  • IT

To qualify for this program, you must be an undergraduate student currently completing your penultimate year of study. 

As at the start of our program, you must have a remaining 12 months or 2 semesters of study to complete your degree.

Ideally, we look to place you in a field of work that supports the discipline you are studying.

Graduate Program

Our Daimler Truck Graduate Program saw our very first locally piloted Graduate Program commence in 2020. Graduates were invited to apply from all disciplines and went through a competitive and multi-faceted recruitment experience in order to secure their place in this inaugural program.

 

Our Graduate program aims to provide our talented graduates with the chance to immerse themselves in our fast-growing business and to expand their knowledge of our inspiring and innovative industry. This exciting opportunity is based at our head office located in Mulgrave, Victoria.

 

Our Graduate program is a 2-year program with three rotational 8-month assignments across three divisions: Finance, Aftersales and one of our prestigious brands (Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Freightliner Trucks, Fuso Trucks and Buses).

 

As a global company, we take pride in ensuring that all employees are provided with support and mentoring throughout their career with us. Our graduates will be provided with mentoring sessions from our internal senior management team as well as support from managers and our Human Resources team. Additionally, we have a tailored learning and development program to ensure that our staff members are driving their own development.

Internships

Daimler Truck offers a variety of 6 month paid internships across all departments- Engineering, Homologation, Training Academy, Aftersales and Parts, Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance and Legal.

 

We aim to give those looking to make a start in their career some corporate experience and understanding of the day to day in a business like ours. You will have an opportunity to learn while taking on independent tasks and responsibilities of your own.
